It was a great value for the price, and simple to put together and use. It's a little louder than I expected (thus the 4 out of 5 stars) when using it with my mountain bike, but it works well. If you purchase this product, or any other bike trainer for that matter, you probably want something to hold the front tire in place and raise it up a bit. Otherwise it feels like you are slightly sloped downhill. It isn't silent, but not deafening either. I would like to have seem a little more precision built into the rotational parts to quiet it down a bit, but I guess that's whats another few hundered dollars gets you so I'm not complaining. If you live in an apartment you might consider another model as this will have your neighbors banging on the walls or ceiling with a broom handle. Also, I tried using my wireless headphones linked to my laptop in another room to listen to music from the internet and when I started pedaling the sound went all screwy until I stopped.
