I did months of research on spin bikes, buying and returning a few in the process, and ended up buying the Schwinn having never actually tested one prior to purchase. However, it was exactly what I was looking for and the one I kept. I like to replicate outdoor riding as much as possible as opposed to doing actual spinning. This bike is not cheap and more than many spin bikes out there, but the quality and useable design are far superior any others I've tried, even some that are comparably priced.This is a chain driven model, like all Schwinn spin bikes, and it has magnetic resistance, making the bike feel the most similar to an outdoor bike I have found in a spin bike. There is noise, like a normal outdoor bike would cause with a chain, but nothing turning up the TV volume a notch or two won't solve. I had it for a month now. It's a compliment to my Nordictrack incline treadmill and my Schwimmer Eliptical. If you want a quality type spin bike that will last for a long time (maintenance free) I would recommend this spin bike. It's not noise free. I have a 2 month old. I jump on the bike after I feed and put him to sleep. He doesn't wake up. You won't even here if you turn up the stereo/tv or have on a pair of headphones. |
